The contest started early  on Sunday with overhead waves and sunny weather. Through-out the early rounds in all divisions the standard of surfing was first class, with many competitors lifting their own personal levels to make the event great to watch.
Seven teams from all over Scotland were competeting for the Gathering of the Clans trophy (large highland quaich) and as it’s the first year all wanted to be the first name engraved on the coveted prize. Thurso took the prize and many thanks to the sponsers, REEF, REALM, DA KINE for all the team and individual prizes.The Engraver @ the green/Aberdeen ( trophys ),  Enigma ( Saturday movie night in Aberdeen).
